Kilts and whisky.

I’ve spoken of my love for New York City many a time, and I’ve also detailed all the reasons I’d love to visit/live there, but there’s another spot on the globe I’d love to see at least once in my life, and that’s Scotland.  It’s such a gorgeous country, especially the Highlands.  I’m a sucker for pretty scenery, and Scotland has it in spades.  I’m also a lover of history, and with ruins dating back to the Vikings and beyond, there’s no shortage of things to see and learn when I’m there, which IMO is more important than just checking out tourist areas.  Those are a dime a dozen, really.  Of course I would hit up all the big cities; Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Inverness, Aberdeen, maybe Dundee.  I wouldn’t try haggis, and since I don’t drink, whisky would be out of the question, but I’d love to try some authentic Scottish shortbread, since they invented it after all.

Also, if you need more evidence for why I’d love to visit Scotland, it produced this beautiful man:

Who needs a better reason?

Precisely! I’d like to shake his father’s hand, incidentally, because I’m damn glad he exists.
