One of my favorite things to do when the weather is fine is take a walk.  It’s great exercise, and the scenery can be gorgeous, depending on where you walk.  Growing up in Chicago, I would walk through various neighborhoods, so there wasn’t a whole lot of exciting stuff to see, but around where I live now, there are a lot of wooded areas, lots of flowering patches, stuff like that.  Sometimes my sister and I will drive somewhere and walk around, like a nature reserve, a park, Pilot Mountain…though that one is a bit of a haul.  I don’t have a gym membership, so the exercise I get has to be stuff that cheap or free, and walking has always been both.  It also allows me to clear my head and relax if I’m in bad mood or feeling down, so aside from being great for my body, it’s great for my mind.

On a side note, Happy Mother’s Day to all my followers that are moms, whether it’s to human babies or fur babies — enjoy your special day.  🙂
