Those were the days.

I don’t know about you, but when I hear the word “stifle,” there is only one thing that comes to mind. Archie Bunker. I never watched All in the Family when it came out because I wasn’t born yet, but I have watched it plenty as reruns, and it’s hysterical. I also don’t know that a show like that could work today, given how politically incorrect it is. You’d think being 2018, we’d be more progressive than people were in 1971, but the fact is…in many ways, we’re not. Someone like Archie Bunker could never exist on television today, at least not network television, because too many special snowflakes would get triggered and call the network bitching about it. I say that as one of the liberalest liberals who ever liberaled. Too many people in my generation and in the younger generation are easily offended little ninnies. Now. Sing it with me, boys and girls — “Boy the way Glenn Miller played…”
