Getting lost.

Make sure you leave a trail of bread crumbs behind you or something so you can find your way out.

One of my favorite things to do is just walk. Not necessarily in a maze, but in general. I enjoy finding parks or greenways or nature preserves to wander around in. Obviously, the weather has to be conducive for that, as I’m not walking around in 110°F heat or when there’s 6 inches of snow on the ground, but I find “getting lost” a very meditative process, and it helps to clear my mind. I don’t really get lost, that’s why I put it in quotes, but it’s still a freeing feeling all the same.

The flip side of that is when I have something to do or somewhere to go, I don’t like wandering around aimlessly. When I’m on a mission, I like to get it done and over with and taken care of. There’s nothing I hate worse than having things to cross off a list but I don’t cross them off because I’m constantly distracted. There’s a time and a place for meandering.

Nature walks are very therapeutic to me but walking in a maze makes me anxious sometimes.

as long as you can find your way out, it’s all good….
