I’m not a huge fan of fair/carnival food, since 99% of it is basically deep-fried whatever, and I’m not in a big hurry to find out what deep-fried butter tastes like. However, funnel cake…now that shit I can get behind. I will sometimes only go to state fairs or carnivals just so I can buy a funnel cake. I know you can buy funnel cake mix in the store and make it yourself at home, but I don’t feel like setting my house on fire trying to deep fry that. I’ll let the pros handle it. I’m also one of those people that doesn’t share their funnel cake. If you want some, get one of your own. This one is mine.
What’s your favorite funnel cake topping, providing you like them of course? I love powdered sugar, but I’ve had them with strawberries before, and it was delicious.

I live in Texas and have never had one of these, probably because they are usually HUGE and I’m not a big sweets but kinda want to at least try it once. 🙂
