It’s good to be the king.

Today’s Word of the Day is scion which means, “an heir or a descendant of a wealthy family.” This is one of those words that you see in print far more than you hear spoken out loud. You mostly see this word used in connection with business and industry. Occasionally, you’ll see politicians referred to with that word, particularly if they come from a well-known family. I’m not sure who the scion of the Kennedy family is nowadays, but it sure as hell isn’t the anti-vaxxer clown. That much I know. On that note, I thought for today’s Musical Interlude Friday selection, I’d pick a song with a title that refers back to the title of the blog post, as there are definitely scions in any monarchy. Here is “Royals” by Lorde. Enjoy!
